Charity Bike Ride
Community members took to the streets in the Jumeirah Islands Charity Bike Ride to raise funds for the Bait al Khair Society.
December 2007 saw the first Jumeirah Islands Charity Bike Ride. The event was a resounding success with over 500 residents turning out, not only to participate in the event but also to enjoy the community’s brand new park opened that day by Yousuf Kazim (Managing Director - Nakheel Joint Ventures).
The event was in aid of the Bait Al Khair Society - a charity supporting underprivileged UAE nationals. In total, the event raised a massive 50,000Dhs and also provided a great stage on which to raise awareness of NAM’s new ‘Recycle It’ campaign in the Jumeirah Islands community.
The feedback that we have received from residents was that the day was fantastic fun, both for children and adults. Keep an eye out for more great events happening in your community soon.
